Overview

Note default access credentials. Explore all menus and document menu trees. Document observed behavior of system compared to documented behaviors. Document attack all surface and user inputs. Note all interfaces that are undocumented. For extra efforts, you can try different versions of vendor firmware. How different is the original version compared to the current version? Are there major version number differences?

Are there other boot modes of the device (e.g. recover mode)? ... rinse and repeat. Are there other access modes of the device (e.g. admin)? ... rinse and repeat.
